The first gold medal was won by Wachid Borchasvili from Austria who fought in the -66 kg weight category. After winning his semi-final against Ukraine after 10 seconds with Ippon, he was ready for the final fight. It was in the golden score that the deciding wazaari was given to Borchashvili and he could step on top of the podium.
Another gold medal was won by Helena Vukovic from Croatia in +78 kg who stood up in the final fight against a strong Georgian player. Here it was also in the golden score when the deciding wazaari was given for Vukovic. She could end her day with the Croatian national anthem in the background.
Also from Croatia was Iva Oberan who fought her way to a well-deserved bronze medal in the -57 kg. In the bronze medal match, she won in fascinating style in only 13 seconds. Croatia saw another bronze medal as their heavyweight male in +100 kg Marcel Skalec ended the day on the podium.
The third bronze medal went to Maria Hoellwart of Austria where she took her third European Cup medal of the season.
Also fifth places for Moritz Moser, Dora Bortas, and Katarina Kristo. Furthermore, Lovre Barisic, Luka Violic, and Bruna Bilic finished their day with seventh places.
