Ademir Barreto Shines at “The IBJJF Crown”

Last weekend, "The Crown," the IBJJF's (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) most prestigious invitational tournament, took place. This exclusive event, featuring the world's top athletes, offered a prize of $20,000 for each division winner, with a total prize pool exceeding $250,000.

IPPONGEAR athlete Ademir Barreto de Araújo delivered an outstanding performance in the Featherweight Division:

Quarterfinals: Ademir defeated Eduardo "Dudu" Granzotto with a kneebar in 7:05 minutes.
Semifinals: He narrowly lost to te experienced Joao Mendes with a score of 0-2.
Third-Place Match: Ademir showcased his technical prowess by defeating Shane Jamil Hill-Taylor in just 2:38 minutes with an Aoki lock.

This impressive victory earned Ademir a well-deserved third place in one of the most prestigious events in the BJJ world. The title in the Featherweight Division went to Diego Pato, who claimed first place.
